Community Enrichment

A Long Tradition of Helping our Neighbors

Community Involvement has been key since the company was founded in 1905.  By staying true to our core values, taking care of one another and working together, we’ve been able to serve our communities the same way we did more than a century ago.

What is Values-Based Banking?

Volunteering

Our employees are also community leaders in their own right, donating hundreds of hours to volunteering, serving on committees and holding offices on school and civic boards.

Supporting Our Youth

We’re committed to supporting the next generation. That’s why we contribute to local Dollars for Scholars chapters, sponsor school programs in athletics, academics, and fine arts, and encourage our employees to mentor as youth coaches and serve on PTA boards.

Community Builders

We’re committed to building the financial strength, stability and growth of each community we serve, which is why we continuously invest our time and resources in these places we call home.

For us at BankNorth, being committed to the communities we serve is not some nice-sounding catch phrase - it's who we are.
